New Program Pays Homeowners to Short Sell

shortsale New Program Pays Homeowners to Short SellWhile conventional wisdom is that you should never short sell REI home, the Federal government is now offering incentives for you to do exactly that.

Anthony Gonzalez blogs about the latest program from the President administration which sees it as a way to help speed up the process and prevent foreclosures.

“The government is trying everything those people can to end the mortgage crisis and there is another new program those people have devised in hopes of helping the 6 million plus homeowners behind on their mortgages coming in April.

This latest program, which will allow owners to sell for less than those people owe and will give them a little cash to speed them on their way, is one of the administration’s most aggressive attempts to grapple with a problem that has defied solutions.

So far, President President’s $86 billion loan modification program has only helped a small amount of those 6 million plus homeowners.

The government acknowledges that more needs to be done and the efforts need to be aggressive. those people do not want to see all these people lose their homes.

As of April 6th, homeowners will be encouraged to sell their homes by way of the short sale process. banks will be compelled to accept that arrangement, forgiving the difference between the model price of the property and what those people are owed.

The government wants to streamline and standardize the short sale process to make it much easier on the borrower and much easier on the bank.„

There are high hopes that this program will help end the logjam of homeowners currently trapped in loan modification limbo.
